Here are some odds and ends in the great Cat Graving Docks as we speak.
Several of the ships are awaiting PE... a couple are complete.... and one is awaiting time. First up is my Revell Yorktown. I can't remember exactly what scale it is, 1/570 maybe??? It has the GMM PE set. I halted construction on it a few years ago and am glad I did, as I've figured out better ways to do certain things. One thing's for sure! Though the GMM sets are awesome, PE props are *not* the way to go. Check out some of the PE goodies. I scratched the side elevator's decking and attached the PE lattice work. I don't really want to paint it: ![]() A view from the stern quarter. Pardon the dust, please! ![]() The GMM antennae. Again, I hate to paint it. ![]() Tamiya 1/350 Prince Of Wales. GMM brass. I'm thinking about eBaying her, so I can afford to breathe life into a 1/350 North Carolina.... Shipping a ship is a PITA! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Nice looking ship yard you got there Cat.....
In October my 'ship yard' is gonna grow by leaps and bounds....the Asohima Kirishima 1942, Fujimi's carrier battleship Ise, Tamiya's Yukikaze 1945, Trumpeter's Suzutsuki 1945, Hasegawa's Akagi, and Pit-Road's Combat Sub line re-releasing the I-1, I-13 and I-15 kits....and all of them are coming out in October.....cripes I'm gonna be broke.....anyone want to buy a Fujimi 1/350 Kongo 1944?

I know what you mean about patience, Jon... but when it comes to certain things like that elevator and Prince of Wales' big cranes? Those are just FUN I tell ya! PE would be 100% FUN if it weren't for railings!

WHOA! That is some beautiful work. PE is an artform all its own. Yeah, I know what you mean about hiding all that pretty metal under grey paint!
