that looks gorgeous!!! Even though I prefer the landing gear of the 32" ESB falcon, the overall shape and paint of the ANH falcon is so much nicer. Great job!

That is one of the BEST ERTL builds I have seen! Beautiful work!

Here is a lil tidbit of Kuhn history geekiness...

I remember getting this MPC kit as a kid... the lighting was provided in the kit. I wanted to just play with it so badly that I quickly made a glue mess of it, but I at least got it built... LOL. After I was done flying it around, I hung it directly over my bed... about 3 feet above it.. where I could stare at it all the time! LOLOL...

I did the same thing...except I was in university...

Using fishing line, I hung up the falcon, x-wing, b-wing, star destroyer and falcon from the ceiling of my dorm room.

In retrospect, I did a very bad job on those things....

This build came out sweet! You can be really proud over this clactonite

I had the Kenner Lambda shuttle hanging in my room. i remember one of my budgie parrots got stuck in one of the lines one time... Everyone survived the incident though.

I always love seeing the Falcon and you've done a particularly good job on your version. I especially like the peeling paint effects especially the subtle weathering around the cockpit.

The engines are another matter, they transform the kit, making it really stand out.

Thanks for all the comments gents, scalemodeladdict, no lightsheet, just leds, the build up thread is around here:
http://www.resinilluminati.com/showthread.php?t=8722
and should show how the engine lighting was done.
Just got the Fine Molds Falcon though and all I can say is that it is worth the outlay, it really is. It is simply in a different league to the MPC which really shows it's age in comparison. It is a beautifully engineered and cast kit and combined with the acreation photo-etch you are on to a real winner.
