Default Re: Battlestar Galactica - Mercury class DUN!!

Yes, the Asgard is the smaller Valkyrie class. She was made from the Bad-Azz resin kit, available here - http://www.jt-graphics.com/MK_BA.html - fourth down from the top. They list the scale as 1/2500, but I consider it to be 1/4105, seeing as it fits in so well for it's size. Still smaller and sleek, she's like the sportster of the fleet. It's currently on sale for a hundred, which I'll have to take advantage of if I want to build her sister, the Aegis!

I had no problem buying extra parts from them, getting extra flight bays to give her an over/under arrangement similar to the Pegasus.
And he was able to send me a second decal set with a different name!!

I ended up not using it though, when I changed the name from the Kara, one of the Valkyries of Norse mythology. I did end up using the larger guns from the Galactica kit for her spinal armament and mixing in the photo-etch turrets from Paragrafix and some 1/700 scale WWII Japanese guns from Fine Mold to represent smaller weapons.

All in all, I'm so glad they changed the design from the Valkyrie seen in Battlestar Galactica and the later one in Razor, which this represents.

She's a real cool little ship!
