Default Re: WIP SS Millennium Falcon

oficially starting the WIP with the first casts of kit parts

to aid anyone in future endeavors i will be adhering to a strict naming convention, when you "save as" you can see the file names

this file is:
1001 TAM F312T 12th Cast 1.jpg

the un-assembled raw or cut castings will be in the 1000's, assemblies in the 2000's and so on

from the name you will have manufacturer (tamiya), model (Ferrari 312 T), scale (1/12) and the casting number (meaning when i cast 3 more parts from this kit it will be cast 2 etc.)

when i have completed sub assemblies, and all molds are done for a particular spot, i will post the primed part(s) with a complete part map

this will be slow going for a while, im just going to be pulling parts until i move and have room for laying out the hull

You have to start someplace and this is a wonderful place to start. Can't wait to see more.

You are a brave soul. I think a SS Falcon is second only to the Galactica.....

Nah, it's the opposite. The Galactica has more hard to find/expensive kits, but the hull shape, plate layout and weathering makes the Falcon a lot harder to replicate!

It's awesome that you will document this so we will have reference and more confidence to build one from the ground up!!!!!!!!

heres 2 more parts from the 1/20th P34 and 3 parts from the 1/20th JPS MK III

this slow methodical journey is very rewarding - i have already ID'd many parts that i had not found on any list or reference
