Default "INSPIRED" Cloakshape Fighter

Started out with the main fuselage just carved it
out of wood and then sanded it to shape.

Then I vacuumformed it

Notched it out to fit the wing........the wing was just
cut out of styrene along with the underbelly part.

Next I decided to work on the tail.....I used
some parts from the revell small X-wing snap
kit, and some evergreen tube. I wanted the trailing
arms that hold the horizontal fin to be mounted very
strong, so I used screws recycled from a old toy. I drilled
through the wing and ran the screws right into the kit parts
hollow studs. For the ends I used some shell rounds from
the Morser Karl kit, I sanded them flat on one side inserted
the tube and filled it with apoxie sculpt.

I know this build is progressing ahead and almost about to paint .
He is building this in the 5 days of loosing power by hurricane.
Let's wait for the pics to come.

Default Re: "INSPIRED" Cloakshape Fighter

I went ahead and cut out the canopy right from the hull,
then I filled it with ultracal30 to get a part to be vacuum
formed in clear later.

Bottom of cockpit floor.

Canopy dremeled out....

Main engine inserted and detailing below i moved my
engine up from where it should be.....that's why my
thread is titled "Inspired" LOL The rest of the build is pretty much just detailing not much building on this past the main hull..

On the base.....

I don't like this design much... but you've made it awesome.
Very, very inspiring work.
A coat of primer is always good for seeing the final form!

Thanks Guys....

Clear part formed but not glued down yet,
until the cockpit is painted.
