Next April at the Hutchinson, Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center they are hosting the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 13 flight. Rumor is that Jim Lovell (my fav), Fred Haise, Gene Krantz and others will be there.

I intend to be there! Anyone?

Oh, when Apollo 11 launched, I was four years old and was sitting next to my father to watch. We had a black and white TV. I also remember watching Neil step on the moon. A while later I had the little plastic rover off the jars of tang breakfast drink!

Thanks for the memories!

I missed Apollo 12's anniversary the other day... Apollo 13 will likely get coverage in a few months for obvious reasons...

Thanks man!

Yeah 1/48 scale would be absolutely sick but this was the biggest one getting around when i purchased it many years ago.

Also just a happy anniversary to the Apollo 11 crew on this day!

Spent the afternoon with this one yesterday at KSC. Your model is stunning!
I have the big Revell kit I've been sitting on for about 10 yrs., time to get it out and build it! Thanks for the inspiration!
