I love PE! Far better than I can do!
And I think the FR.47 is the best looking 'fire of the line! Love them contra props!
As of now the fuselage is closed up. I had fewer fit issues of the cockpit than I thought and more of an issue with the seams. They were good during the prefit, so I put it down to myself as to the cause of the slight ridge behind and in front of the cockpit. I put two applications of Dr. D Putty over it and then sanded that out after work. I'll need to hit the panel lines to restore them, but they are straight and should cause no problems. (Oh dear, Mr. Murphy please be gentle...)
After that I went to the wheel wells and hit them with Nato Black and then Sky XF-21. And then I was reminded of the pin release marks in the wells...
Dang...
There are two of them, one at the edge and easy to sand out and one in the middle that I covered over with a rectangle of thin styrene. I would rather a thin straight line than a faint circle.
Back to paint!
As for now, all is drying peacefully and it's time for dinner!!
