Very nice work Barry----glad to see such a different take. Got mine sitting in a box since WF, and wanted do something/anything else other than what I've already seen. :notworthy:

Guess I need to get off my butt and pick up the pace......:p

Thanks.
I just hate to try what someone else has done and mine looks rubbish...
I just opened another one yesterday during my work break, and i plan on doing an "historical" paintscheme, perhaps an homage to a WWI Fighter Squadron.
For now, it's a three way split between an homage to the boeing p26a(20th pursuit group) In blue with yellow striping (http://www.strategypage.com/gallery/images/p_26a.jpg), The Brewster Buffalo In bare metal and yellow (http://mymilitarytoystore.com/files/HA7005-Buffalo-Yellow-Lft-f.jpg) with the plack pinstriping over the panel lines, or an homage to a winter scheme done on the MiG-3, in the GvIAP(Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment) of the 6th Fighter Air Corps, Moscow Air Defence Zone, in a White/Red scheme (http://mig3.sovietwarplanes.com/mig3/fotobiancr.jpg).

My fave so far is the White/red of the MiG-3. It's really striking.
But i am willing to consider other schemes if you have any cool real-world alternatives(I don't fancy doing any canon schemes).

Great build - paint scheme awesome! Glad to see you back into it!

Thanks.
I have been under a lot of strain recently with my family life, and i needed to blow off a little bit of steam with this build.
I am hoping to be able to get the other one done this week.

Ahh yes, a very clever symbol.

I am new here, so thank you for your approval. I have to say how utterly amazed I am at the wonderful models here (yours included). I'm a bit out of my depth really!

I'll try to keep up with your posts...who knows there may be more images on the way!

LOL, I love reading "engrish" on stencils. Such as "...pull handle G feet to jettison canopy". Maybe 6 feet, but "G" feet? ;)

Really nice work Bar. The paintjob is certainly different, yet pretty cool all the same. But, that is what at least I've come to expect from you with your other builds.

Yeah. I sometimes laugh at the Ma.K english translations on the decals and the boxes, but considering what my own english to japanese translations would look like(It would be worse than the "Rura Penthe" Klingon translations by Uhura...).
Thanks for your kind words about the build. I think i could have done better on the paint job. As said early in the build, it was primarily a stress buster build because my Mum was terminally ill last year. It sits on my shelf, a reminder of how modelling can help me chill out even as my Mum was dying.
I took a pic of the Falke when i started my Arvus build. There is a picture of that plus the "Soviet Squadron" one in the Arvus thread (http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g19/All_the_good_usernames_are_taken/Arvus%20Lighter%20Build/IMG_1911.jpg).
The Arvus is nearly done now of course. I'll have to take pics of the Falkes next to it the next time i am at work.
