Hi Guys,
I've been working on getting this one ready as a kit and its near completion . Theres still some work to do on the hair ...but the master has been run. It was designed on a computer by Gordon Rob and I got it parted up and ready for Rapid Prototyping. Its about 1/6th scale. Hope you like the pics and I will post more as its near casting.

Hi ,
Its getting there...We had to do some re sculpting on the hair and forearms and the guys doing the work had some other projects ahead of mine.I should be getting some up date photos soon and I will post. Im also looking in to getting some hooks for the rope made...see what happens
I have also been busy putting the final touches to the RP mesh work for the Valley Forge...looks like its going to be a big one ...looking at about 4 feet with the domes just under 5". Sent some mesh work out a few days ago to get a prototype on the girder work to check the scale and if its going to work.
I will keep posting as things develop.

Just curious: any word on the possibility of a Harkonnen transport to go with the excellent Atreides one you've already released?

Hi Guy,
Im going to try to get the Harkonnun done next year. Ive got to talk to the guy whos got the mesh work to get it on the to do list.
Theres a few projects ahead of it though. The list is getting longer .
The guys at the model shop are working on the Paul kit and I hope to get it into full production soon. There was some re sculpting to do.
Im working on the build up of the Atreides transport as we speak. Im going to post pics as soon as its done.
I dont do model production as a full time gig ....so it takes me a while to get it from the mesh work...parting it up ...scaling it and running the master. then theres the clean up before molding and casting.
The bigger the project the longer it takes...I like to put out the best I can do.
Im hoping to get up date pics of Paul next week so ill post as soon as I get em.

Hay Guys,
There coming...I know ...and so's Christmas.
I really want to sell them to you...Ive been waiting on the guys at the shop who cast them. They got slammed with a bigger job than mine and ive had to wait. I also just noticed a scale problem with 2 small parts that come with the kit and want to get that fixed. Its an easy fix.
I got one for the build up and thats when I noticed the problem. I want this kit to be as good as I can get it.
As soon as I get any I will post...promise

Ha..... Why bother sending them to collage...the way things are going there wont be any jobs available when they get out....so you become a model producer.

Hows this?
Just got this lovely piece from Hunk of Junk Productions. It's 1/6 scale.Cast in white resin(easy to work with too)There are 12 parts all very well cast.
http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g172/toonarmy17/paulattriades003.jpg
Main body
2 forearms
head
cryskife
weirding module
2 worm hooks
large maker hook
thumper (2 parts)
wire

http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g172/toonarmy17/paulattriades011.jpg
The detail is maybe a little soft, but the likeness is spot on to Kyle Maclachlan. All detail is there, from the lovley knife to the very well done weirding module.Even the Ducal ring is there..A really good point is the excellent sockets and pegs holding the forearms. The fit perfectly and the joint is kept in the seams of the stillsiut.
http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g172/toonarmy17/paulattriades012.jpg
The large hook and thumper have metal rods cast into them for added strength.
http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g172/toonarmy17/paulattriades014.jpg
The kit also comes with instructions with advise on how to use the wire to do the thumper top
http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g172/toonarmy17/paulattriades016.jpg
No base is supplied but a simple sand terrain should be easy(ish) to create
All in all a lovely piece and is sure to become a must have for the Dunefans out there http://theclubhouse1.net/phpBB3/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

Thankx for the rave on the kit..we will correct the softness in the next figure we do.
Just a heads up on weathering this kit.
After you have painted the suit black try this....
I was reluctant to use paints to weather it and started looking around for an alternative. I came across some chalks at the local art supply ..JACKPOT
They worked great. Look for Winsor and Newton Artist soft Pastel chalks.
I used the Davys Gray Tint 1. Just scraped it onto some paper using the xacto and used a brush to apply it. If you make a mistake rub it off or use a Qtip and some water to wash it off. It sits down in the gullies and crevasses and dulls down the suit while letting the black to bleed through.
Try the charcoal gray, Ivory black, and raw umber tint 3 if you want to go full hog on weathering it .
Good luck...
Tony
