Finally Here !!!! Revell's 30th Anniverary Reissue Viper

Very excited!!!!! Just got my first sample of the re-issue and "accurized" Revell Viper in the mail today....
Thanks a million B. Carreon.

Here's the first pics of the new box.
In the following days I will post pics of the inside of the box, the parts trees and then the build-up as I put it together to see how it stacks up.

I just got the Base Star. Several of us helped get these re-tooled. Gil and I were two of them. Bill told me to pass it on that this is most likely the end of the Galactica models. The new ownership killed the complete re-tooling of the TOS Galactica and then the NEW Galactica line of models. These are it from what he said. Plan on seeing these no longer after this release.

I'll post pictures of the Base Star later today. I have to get some drawings donefor the laser cutter. Some of you know what these drawings are for:D

Yes... this does suck! Because the "New" owners of Revell think that all of the kids in the market for "Kits" are just out for the prepainted snap together cars, they don't think there is a market for these "SciFi" kits any more.

The only reason that they went ahead with the release of these three is ..(I'm sure)..because they already had the money invested for the re-tooling and just want to recoop thier investment.

The original plan that Mr. B. at Revell was trying to bring about...(before the company was sold)... was to get all four of the original models retooled and up-dated. That included a more accurate Galactica.
Then once they were released, to get a line of the "New" Galactica ships made and released.... The Mk 2, the Mk 7, the Raptor, the "New" Galactica, and the "New" Raider... ( or at the very least some of them).

It's too bad that owners and corporate heads are now so short sighted that they miss big sales oprotunities.

Any way.....

Here are some of the additions to the decal sheet..... Pegasus Silver Spar Emblems..... and pilot names? There are also emblems for the Galactica, kill
markings, and shoulder patch decals for the pilot figure.

Probably your local hobby shop. You can ask them to order them from thier supplier when they become available.

I have about 20 of the original release Vipers still in my work room waiting to be built, I think I'll be getting a case of these as well.

I've got both 70's and 90's issue kits. I even have one box that is from the Euro release.
