Padawan v 2.5

Here's a quick and easy build of the Narcissus shuttle from Alien and Aliens. Halcyon did a nice job on this little gem. Just wish the Sulaco had been bigger.

'Miss Piggy' in all her glory!

I really hope that they re-release 'Alien' to the theaters next year for the 30th Anniversary. It's STILL a ground-breaking film in every sense of the word....

It wasn't that big, maybe eight inches long. It claims to be 1/144 scale.

Nice work!! :D

Good kit...well designed but I wish it too was larger...Iv'e always wanted to do the interior but at that size...no way. What scale is it anyways?.....I seem to me that I remember some fuss about that. 1/60th?

30 fracking years already!....oh man do I feel old :alright:....Yes that would be cool!

Don't see many of those around! Nice build. I used to have several of the Halcyon Alien kits, but over the years they all got damaged in various moves.
I'd love to build the Nostromo, but it's so expensive these days.

Very cool build. This is a vinyl kit correct ? Did you use acrylics ?

Not to step in but thats the all styrene kit from Halcyon Models.

Not a bad kit at all....still can get them on ebay for a decent price....the 'vinyl kit' Space Jockey shows up now and then too.

The only 'original' Halcyon kits produced in vinyl was the Space Jockey, Nostromo and Face hugger? I think there may have been more.. but me just don't know?

I'd like to get a Drop ship 'again'...Iv'e built one...had two others but have sold or traded them up when a better....just had to have it kit came along...(from South Park)...dumb dum da dum dum dumb!

NEED HELP!

Does anyone know who 'chaucer44' is on ebay? My friend paid for an Alien Narcissus Shuttle from this person back at the end of Feb. outside of ebay, first mistake I guess. This 'chaucer44' was going to build and light this studio scale shuttle. The base was all alien eggs. Its now looking like this person ripped my friend off. Chacer44's email address (Propdealr@aol.com) no longer exists. The shuttle builder's name is Cristofer Adrian, so does anyone here know any other way to reach this person is and can pass any info back to me to help my friend out.

That's lovely padawan, and I really love the weathering you have added on the edges. That's a great touch. :icon_thumright::icon_thumright::icon_thumright:

So .... does anyone have any ideas about the scale of the Halcon model?

I managed to just find one for a really decent price..The cockpit leaves something to be desired..

just wondering how to start.

Oh, and very nice job Padawan! I hope mine turns out half as nice as yours!

I'd put it at about 1/80

1/144 according to Halcyon. Since the studio original used a 1/32 Gemini figure for Ripley, you could assume it is 1/32.

Since Halcyon's model is about 1/3 of the size of the studio model, I've always thought of it as a 1/96 kit. But I'm sure there are counter-arguments.

Necropost response since this didn't get covered:

Fluke, Halcyon also produced a version of the Aliens chestburster (not screen-accurate) and a very accurate Alien 3 queen chestburster, taken from the screen-used piece, in vinyl. Oh, and a semi-fictional "dogburster". At the time the kit was prepared it represented the cowburster from the first version of the film; when the script was changed and the scene reshot with a dog, it was too late for Halcyon to come up with a new sculpt. Instead they changed the cowburster's hooves to clawed feet and just released that. Finally there was an "Alien 3" version of the facehugger also, this was the standard facehugger with slightly different legs and long fingernails. Not to be confused with the queen facehugger. God, I'd love a kit of that.

Man, talk about thread dredging. This one was from a couple years ago.

yeah, sorry to bring it up but when a guy needs info, sometimes a thread has to be put through the Wayback Machine.

1/96 or 1/80.. yeah, that's about it.. I know the seats are...pathetic. I have to go and find some pics of the cockpit. Just to flesh out the look.

Thanks guys
