I have the same kit and am curious as to how you made your S foils work so as to display them either open or closed. I would like to be able to show mine with it either in flight with S foils in attack position, or with S foils together and gear down and sitting in a hangar bay.

GREAT JOB Christopher! :D VERY Nice indeed!

From all the interest, a tutorial on how you did the moving wing assembly would probably be most welcomed! ;)

Another of our own, Max Zephyr (Matt), was working on something similar recently I believe. My memory hasn't done me justice lately though! LOLOLOLOL

ok stupid question time

in ANH they put red stripes on the wings coresponding to the callsign number

2 red stripes for red 2 3 for red 3 etc.

what happend with the higher number ie red 10 red 11 etc..? I havent seen anything like that.

thanks in advance

I have a theory about that, Richard.

Logically, I'd use a fat stripe to denote seven and then the normal sized stripes in addition to seven up to twelve.

IE Red Seven would be one fat stripe .... up to Red Nine which would be one fat stripe and two skinny ones. Add skinnies up to five more to make Red Twelve... in my universe, at least.

that works for me :-)

I mean... it'd make for fast visual identification. Can you imagine glancing and trying to count 12 really skinny stripes on the fly? That would be difficult to do in the span of a couple of seconds.

better than I had pictured in my head with a cutout in the middle of a stripe (like the side stripe of red 5) as the number went up

red 1 1 full stripe
red 2 2 full stripes
red 3 3 full stripes
red 4 4 full stripes
red 5 5 full stripes
red 6 1 broken stripes
red 7 2 broken stripes
red 8 3 broken stripes
red 9 4 broken stripes
red 10 5 broken stripes

etc

pretty confusing to me even

is that red 1 or red 6 kind of thing
