This is going somewhere....I'll explain.

I recieved an email to from Rick at galaxy Hobby ( Rick Pierce...for you music types out there... founded TKO and Q5 and now plays in a band called Nightshade and when he's not twanging his electric twanger...works as the manager of the Hobby shop...He's a SCI-FI and model buff as well....kinda cool huh? )

Hi Troy,
The fellow who wants his Time Machine painted is Ri ^&* %$# (206) 333-5555. He seems legit...
See ya
Rick

A person called him at the shop today and asked if he knew anyone who build and paint a 1/6th scale Time machine for him and that he would pay up to 300.00 or so.

So...I called the guy...we spoke I explained to him the 'basic' ins and outs of these types of kits and I sent him a link to my Masterpiece Models Time Machine that I built two years ago....he was very impressed and so We are meeting after the new year at galaxy hobby to look over the kit and go over options, details, price and what nots.

He's an older gentleman who lives in an assisted living situation and thought it would be a simple model kit....OH BOY! do we all know better!! ;)

Here is my kit: http://colemanzone.com/Time_Machine_Project/Troy_Enlow(5).htm

You say leopard...I say tiger...lets call the whole thing off!

Sorry about that....my avitar is a crummy cartoon charactor  :D

Good to hear you made it out.... I'm still stuck here in Crack Capital Lynnwood Wa. But we gotta killer Hobby Shop!

Yep! Galaxy didn't get BEST Hobby retail in 06 for nothing! Bob Jackobsen sold it to Mike the 'co-owner' ...thinking he was to retire only to find himself knee deep in Horizon dist....in fact he's now a big cheeze there ...so now he's moving to Chicago.

He's looking foward to being that much closer to Wonderfest...he went this year for the 1st time and now he's hooked!

Coby, Chris doll, Charles Adams and a bunch of us nuts still meet there once a month to goof off and talk about building models.

Hey Flookie, do you still have a video of that time machine lit up and spinnin'?

Sorry mate....I don't. One other Video was made and I will contact the guy who filmed it and see if he still has it on file.

A buddy of mine can now program small chips to make motors and led's DO ANYTING he wants....I could really do a number on that one with room to spare....all the electronics were cramed in the control box.

Once the lever was pushed foward slightly...the disc started spinning very slowly...and the 'DAY' marker light would start flashing.....then with more upward movement on the lever the month & year light would blink and son and so on...till the disc almost would make that thing fly of the table.

I also made a all internal true worm gear system out of misc toy car, rods, rc gears etc...I never used the recomended so called, out dated lighting kit for the kit....shit it was almost 300 smackers! and it simply sucked...almost like the kit it self.....I never seen so much hole filling, sanding and repair work in my life....the kits strongest point was the chair...simply beautiful.....and they recomended that the motor drive the disc from the back of the 'time generator' and by simply rubbing the bottom of the disc.

I tried to sale it to the Sci-Fi museum here in Seattle.... but before Mr. Allen's Museum buyer could get back to me after returning from a vacation....it sold on ebay for $2,030.00....I asked him what they would have paid and all he could say was "It would have been quite a lot more than what you got"...OUCH!!!!.....After the auction ended a few people contacted me saying they missed the bid and said they would pay 3000.00 for one like it. I declined...after a year long project like that doing it again...NO WAY!
