Well? With the new stand beneath the MR Falcon, I was finally able to grab some photos! LOLOLOLOL. The photo above is real, not composited. All I did was 'clone-out' the stand. ;)
I used different angles of the “blue light” to create some interesting shadows.
Here are the 31 or so photos …

Editing it wasn't a problem at all, by the way, with the "bluescreen".

at this rate we could composite our own Death Star battle, the only thing left is a turbo laser tower, Darth's Tie , Y-Wing. We could digitally add in the Death Star surface

Well, I didn't do the 'bling thing', but I did whip up this nice unseen screencap. The background plate I shot back home. The mountains to the East are the Sweet Grass Hills in northern Toole County Montana. Since I was a boy growing up there, the surrounding area has always looked to me like some Star Wars planet. I think the Falcon is a natural fit. I sure miss my home sometimes. It's really beautiful in its own way.

The scenery of home is one of the things that drew me to Star Wars so much. I could totally identify with Luke's childhood on Tatooine and the scenes there , especially the canyons, reminded me of scenes like that above. That particular place is only a few miles south of the Montana/Alberta border.
I'll see if I can get some more of these done.

Thanks for the nice words! :)
I must mention that the background wasn't created from scratch, it's 'borrowed' from the HD version of TESB, but doesn't show the Falcon. I thought it lent itself very well to inserting Kurt's model.
Something kept bothering me, but I couldn't put my finger on it - now I know: the engine glow was missing! So here it is, with the glow added:

Here is a new composite I was able to do entitled... "A Princess's Rescue"
After their daring break-out from the Death Star, The Millennium Falcon is pursued by a squadron of four TIE Fighters. However, even though the danger still existed, only the Princess knows it is a ruse for the escapees to believe they escaped successfully. The truth is that they were being tracked to their home base on the 4th moon of Yavin…. where Governor Tarkin, and Darth Vader plan destroy the Rebellion once and for all!
Using the blue screen photos of the Master Replicas studio scale Millennium Falcon, and the amazing TIE Fighter builds of R.L. Bleecker’s from the NICE-N Model Designs kits, I was able to produce this recognizable scene.
THANKS FOR LOOKING!!! :D:D:D

Here is another... entitled "The Run Home"
Inspired by a composite I once saw that Richard_2001 did on the Modeling Board Resin Illuminati (http://www.resinilluminati.com) (in which he utilized my RED 5 (http://www.modelermagic.com/?p=3500) build from Matt Meyer) I decided to place a vision of my own into 'still' motion...
Just after Luke successfully shot the proton torpedo's into the depths of the Death Star, the remaining attack force, plus the Millennium Falcon speed away as fast as possible toward their home base on the 4th moon of Yavin in order to escape the vast explosion that is about to happen!
To view this composite in it's full resolution, please just click on it...

wow these are great shots man.
re creating movie scenes with your own models.
awesome to make a poster in put it up.
Now to admit my absolute ignorance.
How does it work..?
you take a photo of your model, with a blue background right..?
then the background is a different shot.
how do you blend them..?
how does this differ from just cutting around your model, and doing a cut and paste from one digital image to the other..?
sorry for showing my ignorance.
again your shots are HOT !!!! Damn HOT !!!

Thanks fellas! :) My learning process is never ending, but it is great to hear such kind words from fantastic artists like you all. :D
dontexist.... thank you! :) Indeed it is the same as cutting the blue away from the model (called keying) and then placing the model in a shot that matches the lighting and angle. ;) The blue, just like green, gives you a very clean edge to deal with. ;) Now... sir... You show no ignorance at all my friend! Inquiry is the highest form of learning for those who wish to do so. You and I have this in common. ;) :D Thank you again for the kind words! :D
