depicted from the 527 radar calibration squadron, 1943. Hurricane MK1, 48th Hasagawa kit, decals scrounged from the spares box...enjoy.

Nicely done Sean! :D The red really makes her stand out! Can you tell more about that squadron you based this from? I am intrigued my friend! :D

Also... Does anyone know if a 1/18 scale toy was made of one of these beauties? I thought I saw one on eBay once, but have never seen one again.

I dont know any more about the 527 without researching them, just that lil bit on a captioned photo online, and a decal sheet I found on evilbay. was a blast to build, y'all know me, the weirder I can find the more I like to build it.

I know of a tired B25 that was yellow with pink dots, used to form up bomber flights for missions....westpac in like 43 or 44

I had noticed that you like the odd and unusual Sean, good man :D
Always nice to see one of the old warbirds like the sometimes forgotten Hurri, different kinda scheme too and nicely done sah!

Oh and here ya go Kurt, maybe not the one your thinking of but a place to start.
Could use a dab of wear and tear along with some weathering but not too shabby ;)

I've also seen a B24 that was IIRC white, at least the forward 1/3 or more, with polka dots- again a "form up" plane. Such a plane would certainly be right up your alley!

Gotta luv this guy! (MoorCat);):D

Sean is definitely one of a kind in his build selections! He could open a museum by himself! :D Again... nicely done my friend. :D

Ian...duuude... YOU FOUND IT! :D Thank YOU! :D

Oh hell no- if I sent you something I'd already decided on a scheme for, you'd change it to pink and show me the proto-photo to justify it!:p:p:p

But seriously- then good luck with the venture.;)
