Hi folks,

here you have a few photographs of my momentary project - building the X-24A and X-24B in 1/72 scale. If the models will be finished soon I've planed to open four special boxes with the famous 1/48 scale Lifting Bodies ever built for NASA/USAirForce research. These models are in full resin.

Greetings

I've planed to use only Humbrol colors (dilute for airbrush), but for the metallic finish on the "Flying Potato" I'll use a special airbrush color I've got from a very good friend.
But please keep patient, but at the moment I haven't enough time to get in progress with this project.

Hello OhioAstromech,

special thanks for these very nice photographs buddy! I really would like to see more of these stuff. Impressive to see the X-24B under the wing of the XB-70! Thanks again for this post!

Big fan of all the 'lifting bodies'. I'm about to order a couple myself. Like to see how you finished them off.

I've heard mixed things about the collect-aire lifting bodies, what did you think?

I've got some of their aircraft kits, some are great, others are a bit rough!

I agree, some are rough, and some are awesome, however, they tend to have kinda crappy metal landing gear thats lacking in detail. the X24 A and B are wonderful, but the cockpits and gear are lacking, as well as the rocket motors, for that price those things could be better.
