Okay, so I picked up a Minicraft UH-60L Black Hawk in 1:48. The detail on this kit is minimal, and very inaccurate. So I'm going to attempt to super-detail the kit.
First off, if anyone knows of some Photoetch Brass for a 1:48 Black Hawk, please let me know. I really need some for some of the screens and such.
Second, the kit decals are balls ugly. And on top of that are very inaccurate. I wont be using them at all and will be painting some detail and making my own decals for other details.
I'll post some photos of the kit as it comes later, over the weekend at the latest. Needless to say, it does not have the same effort put into it as the Titanic kit, which was what I was expecting from Minicraft, having heard so much about their care in the kits. This is going to be a VERY long term project.
Note: The attached image is of the box-art build pulled from Minicraft's website.
