Here's a 1/8th SuperGirl that I picked up from a friend a few months back. I'll post more pics when I can set it up in a better lit room.

LOL thanks mech, I will. I know I gotta keep playing with the settings on my camera to get them to stop looking so blurry! I thought the tripod I bought would help with that, but guess not!

Is this pic any better?

lol no

I'm gonna critique my own work, looking at the 'exploded' view of the pic the 'S' on her chest is very sloppy paint job, gonna have to touch that up... not to sure about the eye's either....

Yeah I think it might have to do with the lighting, any suggestions on what to use as a backdrop?

the last pic was good - it's just the lighting. There's not enough of it. Take a desk lamp and shine it on the subject and you'll be good to go.

In low lighting cameras have a lot of "noise" that they add to the picture making it look blurry.

Oh and use a tripod - and use the timer setting - rather than pressing the shutter by hand that'll also help with blurriness.

On a side note - it's a good figure.. but isn't that a turner supergirl statue recast?

Thanks for those tips, I'll try it this weekend and try it out. I do have the tripod and I used it on all three pics but I'm going to try that timer setting as well to see if that'll help too...

Man who knew taking pics of models would be such a pain!

As far as where the kit came from, I bought it second hand so don't know, though it is resin. It had a crystal base with it but I really didnt like it so I just used a wood base with a clear acrlyic rod to make her look in flight...

Good luck with the camera, Peagis. The first shots were a field of focus thingie, catches everyone....;)

Have fun with it, whoever cast it. The original designer did a fine job of it.

Nicely done, Pete! I'm sorry I missed this thread previously, as well.

I agree w/Jon in that you're a bit too hard on yourself. However, the majority of us tend to be our own worst critic. I, too, think you did a great job on the eyes. I suck at doing eyes, which is one of many reasons I don't build figures. :(
