I have to say… I LOVE THIS BUILD!!! :D

Bob did such a FANTASTIC job on this Randy Cooper kit! He nearly matched EVERY marking to the original 6 footer right down to the pin-up Playboy poster inside the bridge area! ;)

It is photo intensive, but I just had to post every tiny angle! LOLOLOLOL... I know I know.... silly.

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL ROBERT!!! Thank You My Friend!!! :D :D :D

Enjoy the other photos here…

DAVE!!! :D Thank you my friend! :D

It's great to have you here! :D

I REALLY DO LOVE what Bob did to this bird! I may take new photos of the beastie after returning one of the lights I wanted to use that burned out just before the shoot. The new light will make the bird look more like the movie lighting and compsiting in the finished film. ;)

DUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE!!!! :D :D 8) 8) 8) Those are SWEET!!!

You ARE the MAN!!!! :D Thank You! :D

I am sorry about the wrm lighting once again. I am not sure if I posted it here, but I had a 500 watt 'blue' light bulb that I had purchased just for this, and when lighting this beastie, it was like looking at a screen cap from the original movie! But the bulb blew out right before I began the shoot! And I didn't have a replacement! ARRRRRGHH! LOLOLOLOL

I may re-do this beastie with the replacement Bulb. ;)

Duuuuuuude... you actually used the explosion from Kaoru's photo! How do you DO that!? :D It is AWESOME!!!

I took a few more photos of the Blockade Runner this evening.

This time I used the appropriate "Blue" bulb lighting to create that "Star Wars"look.

Wow you got some really dramatic poses, they look fantastic. It looks more like the ship is in motion instead of just a static shot. Very nice work Kurt, you're really getting the hang of this.

The possibilities of re-shoots are most definite. ;) LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Looks like Randy has made a mistake in crediting me for the actual build instead of Bob! I have written him an email to correct the problem as well as written a 'comment' on his Consular Ship Blog stating that Bob is indeed the builder of this masterpiece. :D I am certain it will be corrected. I think that Randy probably just had other things on his mind lately... like that BEASTIE SD!!! LOLOLOLOL. Even he states that his memory isn't that great these days...LOLOL... but is any of ours? ;)

WOWSERS! DuuuuuuDe! Amazing! You know, with this talent, and all the great builders on this site, what an amazing Film we could make! Imagine the possibilities. Screw CG, I still think 3D Models look much more realistic than even the latest CG work, my humble opinion of course. Why was "Alien" so freakin creepy and realistic? All models my fellow members. One of the last, "Great" Sci-Fi Films, released in 1979, before CG got a firm grip on the Industry. Just a Smurfy thought that crossed my little blue noggin.

How do you think ILM got started? Just a bunch of guys with talent, and a dream.

Cool stuff buddy! :)

Boxster
03-25-2008, 01:24 PM
I have to agreed with you 100% there Papa Smurf.

I still do not enjoy looking at CGI ships. A real model ship on screen always will look more realistic.

Link to thread (http://resinilluminati.com/showthread.php?t=4)

Enjoy the build threads while they last! Cuz after this month, I won't be doing them anymore. I just don't have the time, which is a good sign! Kurt will still do the finished blue screen stuff on anything I build for him and for anyone else's work, I will still post up built stuff... but build threads are a lot of work and they really slow me down. Besides, there are enough of them that anyone wanting to see how I put the stuff together has a lot to info out there already.

Thanks for looking!

Thank you

By the way... I DO have a secret.

You know that dried-on crusty shit in EVERYBODY'S microwave? Well... to take care of that, take you a wad of paper towel, now dampen it... and then cook it for a few minutes in the nuke-itron. The steam generated helps soften up the crud and makes it easier for you to wipe it away.

What do you got for "icky toes?"

The microwave thing, I already use that one, but the toes...I got real problems.

Well... it's funny that you should mention that.

I myself was treating my own with witch-hazel, peroxide and baby powder... but then switched to Tinactin!

And now for the Blue Screen shots! ( and probably we knucklehead amateurs should get back on topic. )
