This is too good of a build to not post over here, I hope Allan doesn't mind. This is the best TIE build I've seen next to the studio mini's, maybe even better, lol. We're lucky to have him on the Studio Scale Slave I team.

Buildup from fall/winter 2006. (Sorry, I'm not much of a photographer...)

Build:

I scratched the cockpit insert, as it was too much fun to pass by...

Drool.
Slobber. Slobber.
Drool.

Of all the ships I've ever wanted produced as a kit for the last 30 years at a respectable size, this is it before me. This is a grail for me and it just pushed all other potential purchases aside.

Someone please tell me this is a kit and not a one-off.

If a kit, who made/makes/sells it?

How soon can I put my money in their bank account?

Do the Studio TIE Fighters have the entire Sherman Bogie Truck half on top of the Engine Hatch? I've never seen a photo with the Skids and the Return Roller Bracket attached to the Bogie Housing before on a TIE Fighter.

On the chin-gun LEDs.... if amber ones should be unavailable and you have to use yellow, you can tint them amber, as I did on Kurt's by using a little red food-coloring in Future.

This is a fantastic example of a TIE build. I'd love to see an 'accessory' kit offered of the cockpit overhead details and top hatch bottom. Would that be feasible ?

So it's S. Nieson that made the kit and Allan H. who bought and painted this build?

Almost anytime I start work on something that has already been done I scour the net for ideas. That leads me to outright stealing many or at least following along for the pitfalls already hurdled.

Just gotta say this is one damn fine fucking build! I'll just hope my own is comparable because if so I'll consider myself lucky!:notworthy:
