Moorcat and I were Airdales. He was an AMS and I was an AT(I). The only lines I ever 'faked' were my own boot laces!

here is a link, of my old ship from the commissioning to its mothball and to its grave, i had painted that ship from top to bottom and everywhere in between, i was on her for 4 years and miss being there sometimes.

I didnt realize that she was decommissioned and turned into a" Tafs" and then she was mothballed and then scuttled

You know, any time I got to watch an UNREP, I was always fascinated by how we, as an aircraft carrier ( IKE, NIMITZ ), could go alongside a stores ship like the San Diego and stay on course and keep the shaft revolutions within 1 RPM of engine order to stay at station-keeping with you guys... AND still be underway at about 20 kts...

hey, BM1, Ill send all the airman to you for the divisional door keys, or a bucket of steam. when I was in VP69, we actually found some cans of propwash...

when i was on board ship the first time i was told by the masterchief to get a squeegie sharpener, and when out to sea on the way to Grenada, i was told to watch out for SeaBees, some kind of green bug! ( hell i believed in anything back then, i reckon because i was from the sticks and was only 17)
