A friend of mine, world class military modeler Ernie Gee, sent me an email with some savory photos of his latest builds. I just had to show them. I think he is going to join. He has been VERY complimentary of all the works by all of you here.

anyway... and a little off topic...

First off...check out this awesome photo of Ernie at the Lemoore Air Base...

Doesn't that kick ass?!!! :D

Anyway... this B-1 is massive at 40 inches in length!!!:eek::eek::eek: Check out the beautiful detail!!

This, and other fantastic pieces you guys have posted, (including the winner of the 2007 RI Modeling Contest), really makes me want to break off a Military Modeling section!!!

That's a lovely representation of the 'Bone'. It looks like a giant F-111 Aardvark..

Love the shot of the Hornet on the glide slope at NAS Lemoore. It's even more exciting watching them catch the wire at sea!

I don't wee why we couldn't break off a military modeling section, there are plenty in the finished and WIP sections.

Damn, thats a big bird...and a very awesome build at that, I do hope he joins

... known Ernie for years - damn good modeler and it would be nice if he decided to join the Forums ...

Also, yes - you should break out a Military Vehicles section, not that I'm biased or anything...

The kids got skillz!

Nothing can beat the old A10 Warthog for coolness though.

I haven't been doing allot of military kits for a while now, but I still love seeing them.
Came out damn good :D:D

I just found a HUGE A10 kit at the hobby shop about 2 weeks ago. I can't remember what scale it was, but the box was "opened" slightly, and the engine housing that I could see was at least 5" dia. The price they wanted wasn't all that small either:eek:

I'll set up the military model section tomorrow. I actually have some models to put in there myself, I need to dig them out of boxes and take new pics. I did a lot of military planes and armor before I got so deep into sci fi.
