I'd like to share with you all a few photos of some of my models. Some of these are no longer with me, but I have the photos for posterity. This will most likely be image intensive, so I'll break it up into posts.....
First, my SSM Departures contest entry, I won Editor's Choice.

My SSM Yellow Contest entry, didn't win anything but it was a fun build. This is a freighter set in the "Homeworld" game universe.

Last, but not least (for now at least!), the O scale model of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Pittsburgh, I built when I was an employee at Carnegie Science Center. I worked on this beast every single day, 12 hours a day, for 45 days straight. When I was finished, I thought I would end up in the looney bin!

Very cool! I like the B5 Starfury. I've never modeled one before - I love looking at how other modelers finish theirs. They scream out for "cheesecake" pinup art!

Last few pics of the church. Casting the 35 plus window frames was fine, but doing the paper shingles made me very disagreeable.........
The original church has a slate roof. On one side, the weight of the roof is pushing the brick wall outward. They insisted I model this as well..... I did, to scale in fact, but unless you climb onto the table (which obviously you can't) you can't really see it.

Thanks, twas a fun project! There's some photo-etch in there, but you can't really tell. I used a photo-etch steering wheel even. I have another, unbuilt, a Cougar C427 that I'm going to do with a groovy vinyl top. ;)

Thanks! Sadly the Starfury had a catastrophic encounter with a shadow planet killer (movers) and was relegated to the parts bin. That was the second build of it. The first time it had blue LEDs in the engines.

Gotta admit, my fave is the pickup.
The dented and battered paintwork and the general cruddy look, first class sah!
Church dio, very cool :)

Thanks Raytheon. My goal succeeded then. I gave that one away. It was a quick 3 day project from start to finish.

Damn that pick up is fanfuckintastic! The rust and weathering is spot on.
Never saw the church, so I'll take your word that it looks as it should.;)
But Pittsburgh ain't too far to drive, so I may look into the accuracy of that subject.:p
The freighter is hellacool too!
All kinds of cool in this post of yours Scorpy. Well done!!
Thanks very much my fine Simian friend! ;) :D
WOW. I mean, the models themselves are awesome, but the effort and detail put into the surroundings are great!

I wouldn't say it's a shameless collection of models just a very nice variety...Awesome work there Scorpy!!...The truck is fucking awesome...Modeling stuff that is beat up is a hell of a lot harder than it looks...The church is killer too

Thank you gentlemen!
I find myself mesmerised by that old banger of a pickup truck. Fantastic weathering and base that it could easily pass for a much larger scale model. Plus I'm amazed how quickly you did it too!

Everything looks good, its also nice to see a nice varity of kits. I to like to build more then just Sci Fi, that is why I build for others so much, I get to build kits I just want to build but not buy or keep..Kev
