Got this diorama off evilbay. It was already built but unfortunately the UPS guys around my neighborhood are the absolute worst. Everything that I get that is made of resin always comes broken!! Can anyone else relate?! Imagine you get a really nice resin model - and the box that it comes in sounds like a baby rattle... -sigh-

Either way, I wanted to just show everyone and share pics even though I didn't build it- because I thought it was a nice change of pace from all the starships floating around..

Below are the pics - of how the completed model came in a billion pieces and after several hours with superglue and touchup paint I was able to get it all back together. So technically, I built the model all over again.. but the original paint job was great - so it obviously spared me a lot of time. Enjoy!

If anyone knows who completed this diorama - feel free to chime in. The kits are Ts-Facto's .... and the buildings are...custom.

And - if there are any more cool godzilla models out there that you guys have - feel free to hijack this thread and post pics.. =)

Great looking diarama! Sounds like the UPS guy did an Ace Ventura to your package. (not your package, but your mail.... you know what I mean!)

Oh that is Kewl! :cool::cool::cool::cool:

I can totally relate to the shipping services these days. Most everything arrives in poor condition after shipping. We have had to take drastic packing measures to stop the incompetence (or just plain inconsiderate) shippers.

Kewl display! :D

Man... I would be crying to get my stuff looking like that from UPS! :mad:

I have seen that Godzilla at Ts-Factos' site... but did not liked how it looked. But seeing it in this prespective.... I just may try to buy one!

Yup..UPS is killing me.. For me - I don't even believe that anything made of resin will come to me in one piece.. I just pray that it's not TOO broken (how sad is that? i've lost all hope)

Yea, Ts-facto surprised me.. I think this is my first Ts-facto model (I have some mystery godzilla models) and some people on the boards have painted them up to be really really nice. Someone on the rpf painted a godzilla vs. zilla diorama a few months back and I was simply floored. It was beautiful.

Below is what godilla and gigan were supposed to look like - before the guy who built my diorama customized it... I think he did a good job.. but I like the original look as well. One of these days I may get some paint and weathering materials and make godzilla into a burning godzilla the way it was supposed to be...

Very cool, sucks about the shipping! We had that happen to our model a few times during the traveling model project.

OUCH,
I'd be very disheartened if something arrived so broken up! But then 'm not used to receiving 'built' projects? But you did great in putting it back together and I'm happy to see it!
I received a Japanese modeling magazine devoted to Godzilla and have been wanting to recreate my childhood favorite for awhile now!

Thanks for sharing!
