US Robotics NESTOR-Class NS 4

Wanting to foray both back into sculpting AND figures, I chose to do a one-off of the NS 4 robot from 'I, Robot'. The NS 4 seemed a reasonably good place to start. The completed figure should stand close to 8" when done. Today I started on and am painting the head before moving on to the torso tomorrow. Medium for most of the head is Super Sculpey. The neck attachment is a re-shaped resin SS X-wing cannon heat sink left over from one of the SS X builds I did awhile back.

Well, you'll HAVE to mold this so that you can recreate one of those scenes showing hundreds of these fuckers!;)

Don, I might do just that if I like how this one turns out. I might sculpt up an actual master 'bot and cast that. Had the idea of doing either a lakebed and/or a shipping container base.

Finished the head. The photoreceptors are florescent orange and glow with exposure to black light.
