My son Josh worked on this AT-ST this weekend. He put it together in two days. It has a few PE parts, shock absorber/ actuators on the feet out of brass tubing and aftermarket decals. He is 17 and this is his second model. Have a look and tell him what you think.

The devils in the details, and I think he's done a fine job on this. The fact that its merely his second model is even more astounding and delightful as its very clean and sharp and already he's learning to add on extra parts and detail it in his own unique way. I think that's awesome and imagine what he'll achieve by his 10th build ;). WTG. Keep it up :D

I commend your son on taking the initiative in actually building something with his hands and a fine build it is for his second model. I hope he keeps at it and I'm sure I'm not the only one here that would enjoy seeing more of his work in the future.

Thanks for sharing with us.

It looks like the young padawan builder has learned well at the feet of his master-building dad! Got any pics of his first model?

Great job, Josh! You need to get your dad to teach you about drilling out gun barrels so that they've got a more realistic look. I really like it, tho! Pretty darned good finish for just your second model.
