Hi Guys,
Just finished painting this one last night, Bernie W.s vinyl kit of the Dr. & his monster. All the info. I read about this kit being a nightmare to build turned out not to be exaggerated in the least. Having said that however , I really enjoyed building it knowing what to expect. I dealt with the warped base by heating the kitchen oven up to 200 degrees, cracking the door open about 6 inches and let the vinyl catch the heat rising out the oven. I let it get as pliable as possible and still handle and then glued it onto a piece of plywood cut in same pattern of the vinyl base. With the vat pieces it was a matter of heating and clamping several times to get them usable. Pretty neat and detailed kit, I really enjoyed the challenge.
